Officials warn of escaped debris burns causing Alaska wildfires

State fire officials say several recent wildfires across Alaska were caused by escaped debris burns and unattended fires.

The Alaska Division of Forestry and Fire Protection says many of the new fires in its response area were human-caused and could have been prevented.
