School bonds approved in Galesburg-Augusta, Vicksburg, and Mattawan; Comstock voters say no

KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Voters in Galesburg-Augusta Community Schools have approved the district’s $11.2 million bond proposal by a vote of 964 to 880.

The bond will allow the district to remodel school buildings and facilities, equip, re-equip, furnish, and refurnish schools and facilities, erect a new transportation facility, acquire, install, equip, and re-equip schools with instructional technology, and develop, improve, and equip facilities.

The bond will be for 1 mill, $1 on every $1,000 of taxable value…
