LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) — A plan to furlough School District of Lancaster employees has turned into action.
The board of school directors approved forloughs, non-renewals, demotions, job cuts and reassignments for 92 positions during a meeting Tuesday. It comes after the board first announced it was considering the move in March to address a potential $27.8 million deficit next year.
