Downtown Albuquerque dance studio holding strong amid two crises

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The collapse at Lindy’s Diner has left a downtown Albuquerque dance studio in limbo, forcing it to close its doors, and it’s just the latest issue to plague the business.

Downtown businesses are still shaken, a week after a wall collapsed at the Bliss Building. “We were really, really grateful that nobody was hurt, I mean, we have kids here seven days a week running past that corner,” said co-Director, Amalyah Munoz.

Flamenco Works has spent the last eight years building a home for dance and culture in Downtown Albuquerque, offering flamenco training to children as young as two years old through adulthood. “We have put a lot of love into this building, into this space, into this community,” said Amalyah…
