The office of Alamance County’s sheriff has announced the arrest of an area high school student for the alleged possession of illegal firearms.
According to the sheriff’s office, this student at Eastern High School was taken into custody based on an inquiry that the school’s resource officer opened on March 17. Along the way, the sheriff’s office brought in an officer assigned to an ATF task force before it ascertained that the suspect had been in possession of illegal weapons off campus.
According to the sheriff’s office, the suspect in this case was found to have been in possession of firearms that could be modified to function as fully automatic weapons. In addition, deputies allegedly discovered the student to have possessed narcotics off of school grounds…
