12-year-old boy hospitalized after Dauphin County bicycle crash

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A 12-year-old boy riding a bike was hospitalized after a crash in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania State Police said Wednesday.

The child crossed Market Street at its intersection with S. Oak Alley in Pillow Borough without clearance and was struck by a 2000 Dodge Stratus just before 4 p.m. Tuesday, according to the crash report from State Police at Lykens.

Troopers said the boy was taken to Geisinger Medical Center by EMS for treatment. The extent of his injuries is unknown. The driver of the Dodge was not hurt, and the vehicle was driven from the scene.
