EDGEWOOD, N.M. — If you’re driving in Edgewood, a repaving project on New Mexico Highway 344 may cause delays for you over the next month.
Starting Friday, crews will remove a four-mile stretch of asphalt layer, from milepost 5 to milepost 9, and replace it with new pavement to improve road conditions and extend its life.
The New Mexico Department of Transportation expects crews will complete the project June 1, as long as the weather permits it. Construction will take place Monday through Saturday, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with one lane closed and a pilot car guiding drivers through the construction zone…
