Honduran national pleads guilty to fentanyl trafficking in deadly Clackamas Co. overdose case

CLACKAMAS COUNTY Ore. (KPTV) – A Honduran national in the U.S. illegally pleaded guilty Wednesday to drug trafficking and dealing charges in a case involving a deadly overdose.

In November 2023, police pulled over 21-year-old Cristhian Martinez in Gladstone and found more than two pounds of fentanyl in his car.

Police then found more fentanyl in his apartment, along with guns, ammunition and a 20-ton shop press used to produce bricks of fentanyl.

Earlier that year, investigators said Martinez sold counterfeit oxycodone pills that had fentanyl in them to a dealer who then sold it to someone who died from an overdose in Clackamas County…
