The beaver vs the bear: Buc-ee’s sues small Georgia convenience store chain over their bear mascot

MACON, Ga. — Buc-ee’s has filed a federal lawsuit in Georgia, arguing that an Atlanta-area convenience store chain’s bear mascot is too similar to their renowned beaver.

“For more than 40 years, Plaintiff has proudly provided quality convenience store and gas station services under the Buc-ee’s brand, which has become widely known throughout the United States in connection with Plaintiff’s offerings,” the lawsuit said.
