A Canton man has been arrested after attempting to meet someone he thought was a teenage boy for sex, the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office announced.
On Thursday morning CSO Internet Crimes Against Children Unit detectives arrested Robert Bagwell, 71 of Canton, at an undisclosed location in Woodstock. According to the sheriff’s office, Bagwell had traveled there to meet someone whom he thought was a 14-year-old boy for sex, but was an ICAC detective who had been posing as a child and communicating with Bagwell online for over a week before his arrest…
