RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Levy Nelson, the father of 14-year-old Sadie Terry who is the sister to 18-year-old Zion Terry, has been charged with the two Richmond students’ murder. This comes after Nelson allegedly shot and killed the two siblings, and wounded their mother Tiffany Terry on April 21.
Nelson, 41, faces 11 charges. Nine of those charges were filed in Richmond City Circuit Court on Wednesday, May 6, following a grand jury:
- Two counts of aggravated murder of multiple persons
- One possession of firearm
- Two use of firearm in commission of felony
- One malicious assault with the victim injured
- One shooting/stabbing in commission of a felony
- One child abuse with disregard of life
- One felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
Nelson also faces one count of malicious wounding and felony use of firearm. Those charges were filed against him on the day of the shooting.
