Massachusetts man charged in hit-and-run that killed Dauphin County pedestrian

A Massachusetts man has been charged with crashing into and killing a Swatara Township pedestrian last month, then fleeing the scene.

Randolph D. Marchant, 68, of Westminster, Massachusetts, was driving a white SUV that crashed into James Blowe, 41, of Harrisburg, just after 9 p.m. on April 25 on the 3500 block of Paxton Street, near Applebee’s, police announced on Friday.

Neither side of Paxton Street in that area has a sidewalk for pedestrians. The street has three lanes of traffic and a turning lane. The sun set around 8 p.m. that day…
