When Toledoans go to renew their license plate registration in 2027, they may see an extra fee added on.
The city is considering adding a $5 fee to all license plate fees, including cars, trailers and motorcycles. The city said road maintenance costs have continued to increase, and there is a backlog of necessary road improvements that continues to grow.
