Go beyond brunch for Mother’s Day weekend with these New Orleans events

There’s no shortage of ways to get out and enjoy the weekend around New Orleans, especially for Mother’s Day weekend. Instead of defaulting to the usual brunch plans, there are plenty of ways to make the weekend feel a little more memorable.

Whether you’re looking for something relaxed, active or unique, here are plenty of options to celebrate Mom that don’t involve a brunch menu.

Champagne Stroll

The most traditional New Orleans way to celebrate Mother’s Day is at Magazine Street’s annual Champagne Stroll, which brings late-night shopping, sparkling wine, live music and special deals to businesses from Henry Clay Avenue to Felicity Street. The free event will also feature appearances by a brass band and the Merry Antoinettes.
