Ohioans push to put data center limits on the ballot

PERRYSBURG, Ohio (WTVG) – A petition drive is underway to place a constitutional amendment on the ballot that would regulate data centers in Ohio and limit their size.

Organizers with Conserve Ohio are collecting signatures to allow Ohioans to vote directly on the future of large-scale data centers in the state.

“This is small mid-west Ohio pushing back and saying we have a vote, we have a say in what happens to our communities… so it’s the people rising up,” said Lyn Cox, a lead organizer…
