A quiet morning in Kansas with temperatures starting off cool, then we turn warm for the afternoon.
Winds will not be too strong, but they will help boost temperatures as they turn out of the south. Highs reach the 80s for most.
A few sprinkles and showers will be possible to the north this morning.
More storms develop in the evening, with widely scattered coverage expected into the night.
A few storms may become severe, but severe potential is fairly limited. Wind and hail are the main concerns, but it is not impossible that a tornado may occur somewhere in Kansas later today.
Scattered rain and thunder continues, with clustering possible closer to the Kansas/Oklahoma state line before dawn Sunday.
Lows tonight will be cool, in the 40s and 50s.
Rain heads for the exit Sunday morning, with sunshine returning for the afternoon.
It will be a pleasant finish for Mothers Day!
Warmer temps abound this week, with a preview of summertime expected as highs climb to the 90s.
Rain chances are looking more sparse, but there could be a few small chances here and there in the next couple of weeks.
