CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) — A driver was killed in a single-vehicle crash Friday evening along Ashley River Road, according to the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded just before 6:30 p.m. to the 3700 block of Ashley River Road after receiving reports of a collision. Investigators said the vehicle was traveling north when it ran off the roadway and struck a tree. The roadway was shut down for a few hours while law enforcement investigated the crash.
