One more high storm threat before drying out the rest of the week

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Keep your rain gear handy a bit longer. Monday will bring another round of rain and storms before we dry out significantly for the rest of the week.

An upper-level disturbance moving through the region will create enough atmospheric instability to spark strong storms on Monday afternoon. These storms are expected to be widely scattered, but they could very well impact your afternoon commute, so plan accordingly.

Heavy rain and damaging winds pose the main threats from these storms. The heaviest downpours could lead to isolated street flooding in some areas…
