Arthur Hardy receives lifetime achievement award from New Orleans and Company

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – New Orleans and Company honored Arthur Hardy on Friday (May 8) for his lasting impacts on Mardi Gras and tourism.

The former Fox 8 carnival historian received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the city’s tourism arm.

“I think I kinda fell into this because no one was stupid enough to do it. And the magazine had quite the success. We stumbled out the gate quick a couple time but here we are 50 years later and I’m a happy man,” Hardy said…
