Second defendant sentenced for December shooting that killed 70-year-old

TOLEDO, Ohio — A man convicted of murder for the shooting death of a 70-year-old man in north Toledo late last year was sentenced to prison Monday.

Tywone White, 36, was ordered to serve 15 years to life in the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections for the murder of Scott Hirschfield, with credit for 148 days already served. He will be eligible for parole after 15 years.

Other murder, robbery and assault charges against White were dropped at his sentencing as part of a plea deal he took last month…
