Displaying an American flag for certain national holidays is a way to demonstrate patriotism, community pride, and respect for the United States and its people, including the founders, leaders, veterans and all Americans.
With that in mind Sherrie Keen of the Loris Civitan Club is inviting Loris businesses to participate in the Community Flag Program. As a part of the program, members of the Civitan Club will place an American flag in front of Loris businesses or a home.
“The flags are placed on 7 holidays,” said Sherrie Keen, Civitans Club president. “We put out the flags on: President’s Day, Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Patriot’s Day and Veteran’s Day.”…
