PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A baby goat was rescued by Tualatin Valley & Rescue firefighters after falling down a quarry late Saturday night.
Just after 9 p.m., TVF&R crews responded to reports of a baby goat stranded nearly 80 feet down a quarry off Farmington Road.

Arriving at the quarry, officials said they found saving the goat would only be possible via a technical rope rescue operation.
Subsequently, a rescue team from Tigard responded and worked with firefighters to set up a rope system. Banks Veterinary Service was also on scene in case sedation was necessary, officials said.
