NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – The FBI arrested a Missouri man accused of making and sharing explosive-related videos that investigators say were later used by the man who carried out the New Year’s Day attack in New Orleans.
Jordan Derrick, 40, of Sweet Springs, Missouri, was arrested Tuesday morning on charges of manufacturing explosives, unlawfully possessing an unregistered destructive device and distributing information related to the manufacturing of explosives, according to the FBI.
A federal complaint alleges Derrick began using social media sites no later than Sept. 18, 2023, to distribute videos of himself making explosive materials. The complaint says Derrick provided step-by-step instructions in the videos on how to make several explosive materials…
