Paralysis, Skull Fracture Leave Families Seeking Help After Entiat Crash

ENTIAT — Two men injured in a serious crash on US 97A near Entiat last week are now facing long recoveries, with family members saying one man is paralyzed from the waist down and the other remains in intensive care with a skull fracture and brain bleed.

The update comes from GoFundMe pages created for 23-year-old Francisco J. Macedo-Paz of Orondo and 25-year-old Moses L. Aparicio of Manson, who were both flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after the May 5 crash.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the crash happened around 5:45 a.m. near milepost 222, about five miles north of Entiat. A 2014 Chevrolet Cruze was traveling southbound when it drifted onto the right shoulder, went into a ditch, struck an embankment connected to a private driveway, went over the driveway and came to rest on a hillside.
