Armed robbery attempt ends with suspect hospitalized, North Charleston police say

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — An armed robbery suspect was sent to the hospital by an employee of a vape shop he was attempting to rob, police say.

Justin Adkins, 33, has been charged with robbery while armed with a deadly weapon and malicious injury to property under $2,000.

Officers with the North Charleston Police Department responded to the Vape and Smoke Shop on Rivers Avenue around 11 p.m. on Tuesday in reference to a robbery in progress.
