DAUPHIN CO., PA (WHP) — Air pollution may be out of sight, but health experts said it should not be out of mind in Dauphin County.
In its annual State of the Air report, the American Lung Association gave Dauphin County failing grades across the board. The report grades air quality in three categories: high ozone days, daily particle pollution, and yearly particle pollution.
“The Harrisburg, York, Lebanon metro area is one of only 19 out of more than 200 metro areas in the country where we have some grades where all the grades are failing,” said Kevin Stewart, director of environmental health for the American Lung Association. “And, so that means that it is a significant problem here.”…
