Michigan Army National Guard soldiers return home from year-long deployment

GRAND LEDGE, Mich. (WLNS) — After nearly a year overseas, dozens of Michigan Army National Guard soldiers are finally back home.

Families and loved ones gathered Wednesday at the Grand Ledge Armory to welcome home nearly 70 soldiers assigned to the Michigan Army National Guard’s 3rd Battalion, 126th Infantry Regiment.

For many families, the redeployment ceremony marked the end of months apart and the beginning of long-awaited reunions…
