JAMES ISLAND, S.C. (WCSC) — Folly Road, considered one of South Carolina’s most dangerous roads, is making progress toward safer travel, with sidewalks, crosswalks and bike lanes in the works.
New project management and a new website are now helping keep this multi-jurisdiction effort on track.
“Folly Road is the fourth most dangerous road in the state when it comes to car accidents. We see almost 70,000 cars a day on Folly Road. So, Folly Road is not safe. It is dangerous, it is ugly.
