Phoenix is saying goodbye to one of its longtime neighborhood Italian restaurants after Giuseppe’s on 28th announced it will permanently close on May 31, 2026, ending a 24-year run in the city.

The family-owned restaurant, located near 28th Street and Indian School Road, first opened in 2002 and became a favorite destination for customers seeking traditional Italian comfort food, pizza, pasta, and a casual family atmosphere.

Restaurant gained national attention

Giuseppe’s gained national recognition in 2008 after appearing on the Food Network series Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, hosted by Guy Fieri. The television appearance helped introduce the restaurant to a wider audience and turned it into a must-visit spot for many Phoenix food lovers.
