Man wanted after chase from Copiah to Hinds County

COPIAH COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – Authorities are searching for a wanted man after a chase from Copiah County to Hinds County.

According to Copiah County Sheriff Byron Swilley, deputies attempted to make contact with Rodger Fulgham on May 14, 2026, to serve felony warrants. He said Fulgham caused damage to a deputy’s patrol vehicle and fled the area.

The chase ended on Interstate 220 and Highway 80 in Jackson. Swilley said Fulgham fled the scene and has not been located. He said Capitol police conducted perimeter checks of the immediate area.

Fulgham is considered to be armed and dangerous. The sheriff said Fulgham was originally from Florida but had been living in Hinds County.
