JACKSON – The Mississippi Animal Rescue League is asking for community support as the shelter deals with what it describes as a critical overcrowding crisis.
Yesterday, MARL said its intake was over 100 animals in one day, a number the organization said reflects a growing statewide pet overpopulation problem. That is a baffling number of animals to be dumped at a rescue in one day.
