Galloway history being razed after voters reject development

SPRINGFIELD, MO – Demolition is now taking place at a property in the Galloway neighborhood that was recently at the center of a citywide debate.

On Thursday, heavy equipment began tearing down buildings at 3535 S. Lone Pine Avenue, which is located north of the intersection of Galloway Street and across from Sequita Park. The work began after the city granted a demolition permit to a contractor working on behalf of developer and property owner Mitch Jenkins.
