Local agencies warn swimmers and boaters about the dangers on the Sandy River

PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — The metro area is once again expected to warm up next week, meaning more people will visit local rivers.

However, significant concerns remain about cold and swift currents, sudden drop-offs and hidden debris, especially along the 16 miles of the Sandy River within Multnomah County.
