Volunteers work to restore and honor Harrisburg’s historic Lincoln Cemetery

PENBROOK, Pa. — Work is underway to restore Harrisburg’s oldest historically Black cemetery.

Volunteers spent Friday digging for headstones beneath thick weeds at the Lincoln Cemetery, Harrisburg’s oldest surviving historically Black burial ground.
