El Paso County to host free ‘Parks After Sunset’ events at parks this summer

EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — El Paso County is inviting families to spend summer evenings at the park with movies, splash pad activities and free pet microchipping as part of a new “Parks After Sunset” series.

El Paso County Parks and Recreation is partnering with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Department and the county’s Animal Welfare Department for the free events, scheduled at various county parks on Friday nights from June 5 through July 17. One showing, on June 18, will be held on a Thursday.

Each event is set to include splash pad activities beginning at 5:30 p.m., followed by a free pet microchipping station at 6 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis…
