Storms likely to return Monday night into Tuesday

Gray skies and soggy weather returned to wrap up the week. Looking at the forecast, soggy conditions will linger a bit longer as a few isolated showers could be possible to start Saturday.

Thankfully, we are not expecting a washout. Instead, this looks like one of those days where a spotty shower is possible, but most people will spend far more time dry than wet through the weekend.

Temperatures on Saturday will remain warm as highs climb into the 80s. Expect cloudy conditions to start the day, followed by a little more sunshine later in the afternoon.

Skies will turn sunnier for Sunday, with temperatures warming a few degrees higher than what we will experience for Saturday. Afternoon highs will climb into the middle and upper 80s, putting us close to record highs. It’s also worth noting that winds will become rather gusty on Sunday, with wind gusts potentially reaching 30 to 40 mph.

Looking beyond the weekend, storms still appear likely, especially Monday night into Tuesday, as severe weather chances return to the table. A strong system is expected to sweep across the Midwest, sparking thunderstorm chances capable of producing large hail, damaging winds, and even a tornado threat…
