NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – This weekend continues with the “summertime feels” for your Sunday FUN-day as we’ll have temperatures once again in the low 80s and higher humidity levels in the mix.
The North Shore will wake up to low temperatures in the 60s while the South Shore will feel the low 70s, but eventually all across southeast Louisiana and southern Mississippi will warm into the low 80s come the afternoon:
Even though we’ll be in the low 80s, the higher humidity levels will make it feel closer to the 90-degree mark…
We will have the chance to see some very scattered showers and a few brief isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon through the early evening so let’s take a look at FUTURECAST to give you a better idea as to which areas will see them:
The window for scattered showers and isolated storms is looking like noon to 8 p.m. mostly impacting parts of the South Shore into both St. Tammany and Washington parishes — maybe parts of the Mississippi counties could have a few sprinkles, if possible.
Breezy conditions will surely be felt throughout much of Sunday with the stronger winds staying to the west of us, but places like Houma and Dulac will have 20-mph wind gusts…
