AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Texas Department of Transportation’s Amarillo District released its “Know Before You Go” report on lane closures for this week.
According to TxDOT, road closures and detours expected throughout this week include:
Wednesday,
- Beginning at 7 p.m., drivers can expect SE 6th Avenue to be closed in downtown Amarillo from Taylor Street to Polk Street for nearby building maintenance. The work is expected to be completed by Friday, May 22.
- Beginning at 7 p.m., drivers can expect closures in the right two lanes of southbound Taylor Street from SE 5th Avenue to SE 6th Avenue downtown Amarillo for nearby building maintenance. The overnight work is expected to be completed by 6 a.m. the following morning.
Throughout the Week
- Drivers can expect the right lane of westbound I-40 from Adkisson Road to Westline Road to be closed for concrete repair operations.
- Drivers can expect various lane closures in both directions of State Loop (SL) 335 from Washington Street to FM 2186 for sweeping operations.
