OVIEDO, Fla. — Trash collection just got a little more expensive in Oviedo after its city council voted to approve a solid waste rate hike over the next few years.
The Oviedo City Council voted Monday night to approve a rate increase adjusting monthly costs from $25 to just above $29.
“The costs are going up all the time, and you hate having to pass on fee increases. It’s a tough thing to do, but again, when you look at the services that we’re providing, I mean it’s great. To have somebody come to your house once a week and pick up your trash, pick up your recycling and pick up your yard waste; it’s just a great service to the community,” Oviedo City Councilman Jeff Boddiford said…
