SABINE PASS — The Texas Department of Public Safety has identified the victims killed and injured Monday afternoon when the driver of a Chevrolet van crossed over into the oncoming lane on State Highway 87 in Sabine Pass, crashing into a bus operated by Hotard, killing the driver and three passengers in the van, according to DPS Sgt. Shana Clark. An Audi behind the bus ended up crashing into it.
The driver of the Chevrolet van is identified as 28-year-old Cesar Rojas of Baytown. Three passengers, identified as 27-year-old Emmanuel Reynosa Rivas, 28-year-old Angel Dominguez, and 27-year-old Osvaldo Alvarez, died at the scene.
Other passengers include 38-year-old Raul Silverio Trujillo was transported to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont where he was treated and released, 37-year-old Rodolfo Garay Jr., and 22-year-old Caleb Burge, were transported to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont where their injuries are reported to be critical. 50-year-old Fernando Rojas, and 26-year-old Robert Zackery Sebastia Hoyt were transported to Memorial Hermann in Houston where their injuries remain unknown at this time…
