HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) — Concerns over how Horry County is calculating proposed development impact fees prompted county leaders to delay a planned vote, as local home builders warned the fees could add thousands of dollars to the cost of a new home.
The Horry Georgetown Home Builders Association raised objections to Horry County Council’s proposed development impact fee, saying the study being used to consider the fees is not an accurate representation and could cost homeowners thousands.
