Mass. woman plans to buy her family home with $1M lottery prize

A Massachusetts woman who won $1 million playing the lottery plans to buy her family home with the prize.

Dawn Varley, of Whitman, won $1 million from the “$4,000,000 Cash Doubler” scratch ticket game. The game costs $10 per ticket and was released in February.

Varley came forward last week to claim her prize and chose the cash option, receiving a one-time payment of $650,000 before taxes. She bought her wining ticket at Little Comfort General Store, which is located at 50 Washington St. in her hometown…
