GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. — About a third of Americans admit to getting their health information from social media at least sometimes. That’s according to a brand-new study from the Pew Research Center. And if you single out adults under 30, that number jumps to 52%.
Most of those same people say they know the information is likely not accurate, yet many doctors say it’s so prevalent that it’s changing the relationships with their patients.
“The algorithm knows what you want to hear and it will repeat it again and again and again in different forms.
