Revere school community rallies for 2023 grad diagnosed with incredibly rare cancer

SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio (WJW) — A local school community rallied together in support of one of their own Wednesday afternoon.

Alyssa Bright, who graduated from Revere High School in Richfield in 2023, has a cancer called metastatic small cell unknown primary carcinoma. It’s so rare, only five other people on the planet reportedly have it.

Today, the Revere school community held a parade to show Bright she is not alone in her fight.

Local police accompanied Bright and her family in a route that included all the Revere Local School District campuses — Bath Elementary School to Revere Middle School to Revere High School and on to Richfield Elementary School.

Students and faculty were all instructed to make signs and wear butterflies and pink in support of Bright…
