NEW ORLEANS — An Amtrak train traveling from Mobile to New Orleans struck and killed a woman on the tracks west of Mobile on Monday, according to Amtrak and our partners at The Times-Picayune | New Orleans Advocate.
Officials said the train was traveling to New Orleans around 5 p.m. when the woman was hit.
There were no reported injuries among the approximately 56 passengers or crew members onboard. Amtrak said the train continued to New Orleans after a delay of about two hours and 51 minutes…
