Emmaus High School student hit by car at Cedar Crest intersection, cops say (UPDATE)

An Emmaus High School student was seriously injured Thursday afternoon when a two-vehicle collision sent one car onto the sidewalk, striking the teen who was walking nearby, police said.

The accident happened shortly after 2:30 p.m. Thursday at South Cedar Crest Boulevard and North Street. Emmaus Acting Police Chief Bryan K. Hamscher told lehighvalleylive.com the vehicles included a Volkswagen Jetta and a Honda CR-V.

Hamscher said both drivers suffered minor injuries while the 15-year-old female student suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries…
