Festivalgoers feel impact of inflation during Memorial Day weekend in Shreveport

SHREVEPORT, La. — Families from across the Ark-La-Tex packed downtown Shreveport this Memorial Day weekend for the 42nd annual Mudbug Madness Festival, despite rising gas and grocery prices continuing to strain household budgets.

Festivalgoers at Festival Plaza said inflation is forcing many families to rethink how they travel and spend money during the holiday weekend.
