RENSSELAER, NY (WRGB) — Even in the rain, the city of Rensselaer gathered to honor the men and women who died serving the United States, beginning the Memorial Day parade with a 19-gun salute and a ceremony that included the playing of taps.
Rensselaer Mayor John DeFrancesco pointed to the service members buried nearby as flags lined the gravestones in the cemetery.
