MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – Montgomery Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Zickeyous Byrd released a statement this week explaining recent leadership changes within the school system.
In 2026, there were 15 principle transfers and reassignments across the district, something Dr. Byrd said is part of an organizational to effort align leadership strengths with specific school needs and district priorities.
“These decisions are never made lightly,” the statement said. “They are the result of careful consideration regarding school culture, academic expectations, operational needs, leadership capacity and the long-term vision for our district.”…
