Larimer County’s new Emergency Services building officially opened Friday, and will serve as a hub for wildland fire, search and rescue, dive, and other crews and volunteer teams.
During the ribbon cutting ceremony Friday morning, Larimer County Commissioner Jody Shadduck-McNally said having the proper facility and resources is a major part of being ready when duty calls.
“Our community needs trained responders. They need the right equipment and they need teams that can work together,” she said during the ceremony. “That kind of response doesn’t begin when the emergency happens, it begins long before with preparation, training and investment.”…
